Joe Allen Morgan, 60, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Joe was born on July 27, 1965, to David Morgan and Faye Dobyns. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Dobyns.
Joe dedicated over four decades to the flexographic printing industry. His career was defined by more than just professional success; it was a vehicle for his true passion—connecting with people. His work allowed him to travel the country, and everywhere he went, his outgoing personality and warmth turned colleagues into lifelong friends.
Outside of work, Joe was a man of steadfast passions. A devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan, his love for football began on the fields of his youth and remained a central part of his life. At home, Joe found peace in the outdoors, meticulously tending to his yard. It was his sanctuary—a place to decompress and a reflection of the pride he took in his work. He was also never happier than when he was at the beach, particularly enjoying the quiet beauty of Bald Head Island.
Joe will be remembered for his fierce loyalty, his competitive spirit, and his extraordinary gift for friendship. A faithful member of Faith Chapel in Florence, SC, he cherished the community and support he found there. To know Joe was truly to love him, and his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
Joe is survived by his father, David A. Morgan (Joyce); his wife, Jenny R. Morgan; his son, Jonathan D. Morgan; his daughter, Melissa Morgan Lancaster (Samuel); and his sister, Wendy M. McAlister. He also leaves behind his father-in-law, Donald K. Rogers; his brother-in-law, Kenny A. Rogers; several beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as his four-legged companion, Piper, and his grand-fur-babies.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Faith Chapel, 3609 Hoffmeyer Rd, Florence, SC 29501 followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Faith Chapel, P.O. Box 4209, Florence, SC 29502.
