JoAnne Ayers Anthony, 72, of Florence, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House. She was born January 29, 1942 in Winston Salem, NC, a daughter of the late Jake and Gladys Gwyn Ayers. She retired from General Electric. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a son, Richard Dale Wiles. Surviving are her loving husband, Captain Billy Joe Anthony, US Army Ret.; 2 sons, Michael Anthony of Columbus, GA and Jeffrey Allen Wiles of Florence; a daughter, Deborah Hill of Columbia; 5 grandchildren, Jackie Danielle Wooten of Lexington, NC, Joshua Allen Wiles of Thomasville, NC, Heather Sierra Wiles of Florence, Tyler Edeburn and Jessica Hill both of Columbia; a sister, Wanda Sain of Mocksville, NC: and a brother, Arthur Gwyn of Florence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Florence National Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home.
