JoAnna Whitney Wilson, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. She was born in Jacksonville, FL, a daughter of the late Henry Morgan Whitney and Vernie Hagan Whitney. She is also predeceased by her husband, William A. "Bill" Wilson, Jr. and a son, Roy Cox, three sisters and three brothers.

She retired from Union Carbide, but returned to work when the company became ESAB. She was a member of Eastside Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Kenny (Kim) Cox of Effingham and Jack Cox of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Sarah (Joanie Wilson) Coghlan of Lake Placid, FL.; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Cain-Calcutt Funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cure 4 Kids Foundation, 3121 S.
