A memorial service for JoAnn T. Richardson, wife of Thomas Richardson, will be at 3:00PM, Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Cain Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2:00-3:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Richardson, 65, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at her residence after an illness. She was born August 7, 1943, in Hickory, NC, to the late Samuel T. Thornburg and the late Pauline Watkins Rivers. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: daughters, Brandi Campbell and Paula Childers both of Florence; son, Billy Childers of Enterprise, AL; granddaughters, Jessica Ellibee of Charleston, WV, Rebecca P. Colvard of Augusta, GA, Miriah C. Childers of Granite Fall, NC, Olivia Campbell and Autumn Campbell both of Florence; grandsons, Spec 4 Blake Childers of Hawaii, David J. Childers of Statesville, NC; Adam J. Childers of Chapel Hill, NC and Dawson Campbell of Florence; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Colvard, Joshua Wyatt, and one on the way.
