Joan Fraser Lawhon, 93, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at her home. She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Henry and Marion Jones Fraser. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilton R. Lawhon, Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Cathy Lawhon. Mrs. Lawhon was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, sewing and crafts, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Wilton Randolph "Randy" Lawhon, Jr.; daughter, Teri Lawhon (John) Dix; grandson, Wilton R. Lawhon, III; granddaughter, Michelle H. (Bryan) Jordan; five great grandchildren; and a brother, James C. (Joyce) Fraser of Anderson, SC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018, in the Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
