Jimmy Carroll Floyd, 77, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born in Dillon, South Carolina, on Christmas Day, 1947, he was the son of the late Ollie Floyd and Hazel Lane Floyd.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Johnny Floyd; his grandson, Bryce; and his brother, Ronnie Joe Floyd.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Juanice McBride Floyd; his children, Jessica (Bryan) Morrison of Huger, SC, Ashley (Kevin) Grindstaff of Winston Salem, NC, Adrienne (Brian) McCraw of Greer, SC, Clara Floyd of the home, and Jim (Barbie) Floyd of Oates, SC; and his beloved grandchildren, Aaden Morrison, Grant Morrison, Destiny Altman, Bubba Grindstaff, Savannah Floyd, and Madison Floyd.

Jimmy retired from General Electric in Florence after many years of hard work and dedication. A passionate golfer, he spent countless hours on the course enjoying the game he loved and the friendships that came with it. He especially cherished his time with his close friends, Carl Greene, Charles Windham, and Joe Parker. Jimmy never met a stranger, and he loved to cook—if you were lucky, he made you one of his famous ham biscuits. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, humor, and loyalty.

A man of faith, Jimmy loved the Lord, taught Sunday school, and shared his beliefs with others when called upon.

Above all, Jimmy was a family man. He adored his grandchildren and found great joy in spending time with them—especially his oldest grandson, Aaden, whom he often took to Bojangles or the golf course when he was in good health. His love for his family was matched only by the deep devotion he had for his wife, Juanice, the love of his life.

Jimmy will be remembered for his big heart, his faith, and his willingness to do anything for the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the family and friends who were blessed to know him.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Tans Bay Baptist Church with a church led memorial service to be held at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.
