Jeanette "Jean" Bazen Putnam, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Milliken and Alma Poston Bazen.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Harris Wayne Putnam; her son, Harris Wayne Putnam, Jr.; four sisters, Sarah Christabelle Bazen Hyler, Lucille Johnson Kight, Mary B. Harrelson and Daisy B. June; and four brothers, Howard Bazen, Wally Bazen, John Bazen and Petie Bazen.

Jeanette was a member of South Florence Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She trained as a cosmetologist at Betty Stevens and also helped her husband run Putnam's Heating and Air, but she got the most joy out of meeting and talking with friends while she worked at Bazen's, she never met a stranger.  She was an avid reader and was the "Napping Queen".

Surviving are her daughters, Angela (Ricky) Green and Amy Putnam Anderson; four grandchildren, Taylor (Ken) Green Keels, Bryson (Christin Baylor, fiancée) Anderson, Cody (Grace Burnett) Green and Mari Grace Anderson; two great grandchildren, Kenleigh Keels and Briar Grae Keels; former son-in-law, Kirby (Jennifer) Anderson; and a number of special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at South Florence Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
