Jason Vance Chatlosh, 29, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born in Florence, SC, a son of Jeffery Vance Chatlosh and Janmarie Hart Chatlosh. Jason graduated from South Florence High School in 2006. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Clemson University where he attended with an athletic scholarship in swim and was a member of the CU swim team for 4 years. He was a member and past president of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee at Clemson. Jason was also a graduate of Leadership Florence, and held numerous swim coach positions throughout the state. He also coached church basketball for Highland Park UMC, where he was a member. He was currently working at Lowe's. Jason is survived by his parents; a son, Cooper Vance Chatlosh; a brother, Justin (Brittney) Chatlosh; two nephews, Hart and Cameron; paternal grandmother, Sandra L. (Jay) Price; paternal grandfather, Harold Vance Chatlosh; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; and his two canine kids, Bentley and Macy. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Highland Park United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Park Children's Ministry, to St. Paul UMC daycare, or to the McLeod NICU.
