Manning, SC Janie Smith Bonette, 78, of Manning, SC, formerly of Florence, SC, devoted wife and loving mother, went to be with her Savior December 18, 2013, after a brief illness at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning, SC. Janie was born in Hamlet, NC, a daughter of the late Jesse and Flossie Norton Smith. Janie was predeceased by two sons, Randy Bonette and George "Bobo" Bonette, Jr., and brothers, Gene Smith, Sam Smith and James Smith. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George "Porgie" Bonette of Manning, SC; her daughter, Patricia Bonette; sons, Tim (Donna) Bonette and Martin (Lynn) Bonette, all of Florence, SC; sisters, Mary (David) Yates of High Point, NC, Trudy (Roy) English of Lexington, NC, Edna (W.C.) McDonald of Hamlet, NC, and Flora Dell Radford of Blenheim, SC; brothers, Charles Smith of Stanton, VA, Monroe Smith of Sanford, NC, and Everette Smith of Lemon Springs, NC. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Joedy Willis Bonette, Jason Carlon, Christopher Carlon, Crystal Bonette, Ashley Bonette, Zach Bonette and Jessica Bonette Ventura, as well as five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
