A funeral service for Janice Nell Williams Goodwin, wife of Jackie E. Goodwin, Sr will be at 2:00PM Wednesday January 6, 2009 in Cain Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jim Crooks. Interment will be in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Goodwin, 67, died January 4, 2010, in a local hospital. She was born, July 7, 1942, in Charleston, SC, to William Leland and Nellielou Capitola Timmons Williams. She was also predeceased by son, Gene Hatfield, grandson, Lloyd Hubbard, great-grandchild, Mariaha Owens and brother, Wendell Williams. Mrs. Goodwin was a good mother, wife and grandmother. She loved to crochet and do crossword puzzles. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: sons, Lloyd Hatfield Jr. of Timmonsville, James "Ted" Hatfield of Effingham; daughters, Terrie H. Shealy of Timmonsville, Rhonda K. Player of Florence and Lisa Coss of Nashville, TN; step-son Jay Goodwin of Alabama; sisters, Carol Strother and Kathy Mae Lewis both of Florence; half-brothers, Gene Murray of Timmonsville, Dale Anthony "Tony" Murray of Myrtle Beach, Robin Murray of Charleston; half sister, Sandra M. Scott of Charleston; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
