Florence, SC Janice Hatchell Corbett, 73, of Florence, SC, died on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Laurel Gardens in Florence. Janice was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late John Aubrey and Rachel Leach Hatchell. Janice worked for WBTW in the earlier years of broadcast and retired from DuPont after 33 years of service. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. Janice loved life, people and the beach. She is survived by her son, Jay (Jeanette) Corbett of Florence, SC; a sister, Carolyn Edge of Columbia, SC; a grandson, Brian (Eydie) Lee of Florence; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee and Eston Lee, both of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle UMC Cemetery, directed by Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the American Lung Association.
