Jane E. Green, formerly of the Myrtle Beach area, passed away at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC on August 29, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

She was born Melanie Jane Esselmeyer on May 18, 1955 in Gaffney, SC to Edward M. and Edythe R. Esselmeyer. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Winthrop University, and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Thomas Green.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (Ted) Green of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Fran Esselmeyer and Lea Marshall, both of Gastonia, NC; two nieces; and numerous cousins.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be private at a later date. Cain Funeral Home of Florence is honored to serve the family.

The family would like to thank the kind nurses and staff at McLeod in Florence, and everyone who has prayed. We are thankful Jane is now healed and at Home in heaven. Her birthday verse was 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you".
