There will be a private memorial service for Mr. James Harold von Frank, Sr.,widower of Winifred Johann von Frank. Mr. von Frank died August 14, 2008 in a local hospital. He was born November 21, 1916 in New York City to the late Albert and Sarah Keller von Frank. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann Payson. Mr. von Frank was a Navy veteran of World War II and had a long career in banking, beginning with Peoples Trust Co. of New Jersey, becoming President of Fort Lee Trust of New Jersey and then President of Bethesda National Bank of Maryland, retiring to Florence, South Carolina in 1978. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Surviving, are: son, James H. (Julie Strickland) Von Frank, Jr. of Florence,; daughters, Valerie (Ron) French of Okemos, MI, Diane Butler of Jacksonville, FL, and Maryanne (Wayne) Scritchfield of Meyersville, MD; grandchildren, Jared and Aaron von Frank, Charles and Jeffrey Payson, Brett and Brian Butler, Amy Jerome, Kimberly Scritchfield, Grace and Hannah French, Daniel Zenk, and nine great-grandchildren.
