A memorial service for James Frederick Proper, husband of Susan Kinnear Proper, will be at held Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at his residence conducted by Pastor Gary Kinnear. Services will be held in Titusville at a later date. Mr. Proper, 59, died December 12, 2009, at his residence. He was born, October 25, 1950 in Titusville, PA to Betty Rice Proper Ritchie and the late Frederick James Proper. He was also predeceased by a brother, Danny Proper. Mr. Proper was a graduate of Titusville High School and was a mechanic for Larry's Auto Parts. He cared deeply for his family, kids and grandkids. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and woodworker. He loved motorcycles and racing cars. Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home and mother of Titusville, PA are: son, Patrick J. Proper of Columbia, SC; daughters, Belva J. (Eric) Anderson of Sandy Lakes, PA and Amy M.(fiance, Bryan Draper) Nichols of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Katelyn, Austin, Luke, Micky, Ethan and Kayla; brother, Terry Proper of Hubert, NC; sisters, Sherry Spangler and Karen Peterson of Meadville, PA and Kris Proper of Titusville, PA.
