A graveside service, with full military honors by a Ft. Jackson Honor Guard, will be held for James Arthur McLamb at Noon Friday October 2, 2009 in Florence National Cemetery conducted by a US Army Chaplain. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday at Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675. Mr. McLamb, 52, died Friday September 25, 2009, in a local hospital. He was born, March 30, 1957 in Detroit, MI, to Arthur M McLamb and the late Shirley Bowers McLamb. Mr. McLamb served in the U. S. Army and retired as MSG in 1997 after 21 years service. He operated Computer Services in Florence. Surviving, in addition to his father of Hope Mills, NC, are: son, James A. (Brigit) McLamb of Therwil, Switzerland; brothers, Wade McLamb and Aaron McLamb both of Hope Mills, NC, Scott McLamb and Brian McLamb both of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Tambra Hamm of Utica, MI and Sarah Porter of Fayetteville, NC.
