James "Jim" Joseph Dubovsky, 57, of Florence, S.C., died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Richmond, VA, a son of the late Joseph Edward and Joan Best Dubovsky. Jim Dubovsky, born on December 10, 1954, wore many hats in life. He was a son, brother, father , husband and Pa Pa . The thing about Jim was that no matter which hat he wore he wore it well as long as it had a gamecock on it. Jim had a charisma about him that guaranteed to leave who ever made contact with him was left smiling ear to ear, loving life as he did. From a retired USN air traffic controller to an outstanding father, brother , husband and son Jim was a true patriot and avid American. Jim was an excellent role model on how to treat others and accept things at its best, a true class act. Even at the most troublesome time in his life, Jim lived life just like he was famous for saying "LIVIN THE DREAM, LIVIN THE DREAM". He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert Michael Dubovsky and his wife Donna Renee Coker Dubovsky. Jim is survived by a daughter, Maria Nicole Kimbrel (Jason) of Fredericksburg, VA; two sons, Jonathan Dubovsky (Jessica Marie) of Sedley, VA; Daniel Dubovsky of Florence, S.C.; one brother, Andy Dubovsky (Margie) of Newberry, S.C.; six grandchildren, Austin Causey, Leila Dubovsky, Caleb Kimbrel, Emma Leighanne Kimbrel, Mathew Dubovsky and Michael Dubovsky; one niece, Anna Dubovsky of Newberry, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Debbie Dubovsky of Simpsonville, S.C. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to service. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American heart association.
