A memorial service for Mr. James Hudson, husband of Hope Matthews Hudson will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday September 5, 2010, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Phillip Hudson. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hudson, 58, died September 3, 2010. He was born May 4, 1952, in Florence, to the late William "Billy" and Mary Ella Hudson. He was also predeceased by brothers, Roger Lynn Hudson and Johnnie Ray Hudson. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: son, James Martin Hudson; daughter, Melanie Lauren Hudson, both of Florence; step-daughters, Medena Allen of Effingham, and Celeste Allen of Lugoff; step-son, Lamar Allen of Effingham; 14 grandchildren; sister, Brenda Jordan of Florence; brothers, William Hudson Jr. and Gary D. (Pamela Gibson) Hudson both of Florence, and Nathan Wayne (Debra) Hudson of Kannapolis, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
