A service to celebrate the life of James William Hobbs, Jr., 70, will be held on Saturday, October 23, at 11 o'clock AM in the Mausoleum at Florence Memorial Gardens, 3320 South Cashua Drive, Florence, SC. 29501, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will welcome friends following the service in the mausoleum chapel.

Mr. Hobbs passed away on October 19, 2021.  Born in Sumter, SC, and raised in Florence, SC, he was the son of James W. Hobbs, Sr. and Jettie Hayes Hobbs.  He was the grandson of Elijah Hayes and Annie Bullard Hayes of Brownsville, SC, and Oscar T. Hobbs and Elise Lovett Hobbs of Timmonsville, SC.

Following graduation from Southside High School in 1969, Jimmy became a licensed electrician and worked with his dad at Hobbs Electric Service.

Surviving are his son, James W. Hobbs, III (Christina); his daughter, Denise Leathers; his sister, Joyce Hobbs Kimbrell (James); six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
