James Feathers Hampton, 61, passed away quietly on Friday, March 26, 2010 in Florence. A memorial service will be held 3:00 Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in First United Methodist Church, Old Cloverdale, Montgomery, AL. He is predeceased by his father, James Webb Hampton and his half-sister, Beverly Jean Hampton. Surviving are: his beloved son, James Webb Hampton II of Florence; mother, Mary Nelle Feathers Hampton; and sister Mary Nelle Hampton, both of Montgomery, AL; brothers and half-brothers, Glenn Hampton of White Hall, NY, Wade Stuart Hampton, of London, England, Geoffrey Lee Hampton, of Knoxville, TN, and William Boyce Hampton, of Chiang Mai, Thailand; uncle, Edward Buell Feathers, of Pensacola, FLA; cousins, Bev, Susan, Barbara, and Kathy, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his cherished friends in Florence, S.C.
