“Bubba” Galliher
August 24, 1947 – May 21, 2018
James LaVerne "Bubba" Galliher, 70, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House. He was born in Georgetown, SC, a son of the late James Allen Galliher and Pearlie Pauline Johnson Galliher. He is also predeceased by two sisters, Mary Lou Thompson and Ethel Thompson, and a brother, James A. Galliher, Jr. Bubba served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a service manager for Richbourg's in Florence and San-Glo Glass. He loved fishing, hunting and stock car racing, Go Sprint #88! He is survived by a daughter, Denise Galliher Strickland; two sons, Jamey Galliher and Chris Galliher; three sisters, Wanda J. (Sherwood) Gray, Bernice G. (Earl) Hanna and Patsy G. (Duane) Hyman-Brown; four Granddaughters, Brittany Michele Galliher, Hayley A. Strickland, Ryeley M. Strickland, and Kynley M. Strickland; a great grandson, Colby T. Deas; and a special friend, Patsy Heniford. A graveside service with military honors, directed by Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home just prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
