A memorial service for James (Jim) Carl Altman, husband of Charlotte Britt Altman, will be at 6:30 PM, Friday April 23, 2010 in Abundant Life Church conducted by Pastor Carl Morris. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Pete and Paula Messier, 2907 Bridle Circle, Florence. Cain Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Altman died Monday April 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born, August 12, 1959 in Florence to Earldine M Altman and the late Earnest Carl Altman. Jim was a graduate of West Florence High School, class of 1977. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. For the past 13 years, Jim had worked as a dental technician for Piedmont Dental Clinic, Columbia. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and mother of Florence are: sister, Rebecca (John) Altman Hicks of Florence; brother, Dr William (Bill) E. (Mary) Altman of Surfside Beach, SC; and his two best friends, Minnie and Max, his dogs.
