A funeral service for Mr. Jack Terry, loving husband of Carolyn Matthews Terry will be at 5:00 PM, Monday March 19, 2010 at Mizpah Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Sartain. Interment will follow in Thompson Cemetery. The family receive friends 7-9 PM Sunday at Cain Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Matthew Terry 535 N. Firetower Rd. Florence, SC 29506. Mr. Terry, 74, died April 17, 2010, after 2 long years battling Alzheimer's Disease. He was born October 20, 1935 in Ellerbe, NC, to the late Jasper and Rosa Belle Morgan Terry. He was a faithful member of Mizpah Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and dedicated to his Sunday School Class. Mr. Terry retired from Big Star after 35 years of management, and afterwards owned and managed Terry's Appliances. Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he will forever be remembered and missed. Surviving in addition to his loving wife are: sons, Matthew and Gregg Terry; daughters, Pam Gillam, and Cathy Haselden; grandchildren, Heather Heger, Tiffany and Heath Haselden, Brittany and Madeline Terry. The family would like to thank all the staff of Mcleod Hospice House, as well as their family and friends who has been there during this time.
