Howard William "Billy" Cagle, 71, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023.

He was born in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Howard Will and Virginia Munn Cagle.

He was a lifetime employee co-owner of Cagle Brothers Logging, Inc.  Mr. Cagle was the most hard-working man you ever met.

Mr. Cagle is survived by a brother, Ronnie Cagle (Kathy); three sisters, Linda Cox, Ann Jones (Keith) and Cathy Hollowell (Bryant); step-son, Thomas Suggs; two step-daughters, Subrina Nettles (Chad) and Genevieve Gordon; three grandchildren, Kristin Owens (Jonathan), Thomas Suggs and Natalee Gordon; and three great-grandchildren, Porter Owens, Finley Owens and Declan Owens.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and wife, Joyce Cagle.

A funeral service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 28, 2023 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Entombment to follow.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM just prior to the service at the Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House.
