Herbert "Skip" Hilton Williams, 79, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House. He was born September 14, 1938, in Templeton, PA, a son of the late George H. and L. Maude Griffin Williams. He was married to the late Mary Alice Butler Williams for 44 years. He lived most of his younger years in Kittanning, PA. He and his wife moved to Florence in 1959 with the Aluminum Ladder Company. He was a 1956 graduate of Kittanning High School. Skip was a member of Central United Methodist Church for 45 years, where he served as an Usher for the 9:00 AM service. For 61 years, he worked at Carbis Solutions, formerly the Aluminum Ladder Company. He was a member of the Mulberry Hunt Club in Camden, SC for many years. He had many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves. Skip is survived by his son, Mark (Debbie) Williams of Florence; grandchildren, Kelly Logan and Jacob (Amanda) Williams, Sr.; three great grandchildren, Cameron Logan, Matthew Lee and Jacob Williams, Jr.; a sister, Madge (Ronald) Fry of New Brighton, PA; a brother in law, Ken Jordan of Kittanning, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice, who died January 31, 2004; sisters, Mary Alice Fraley and Nancy Jordan; and brothers, Robert Williams and Everett Williams, all of PA. Funeral services, directed by Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Central United Methodist Church with Entombment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Mark and Debbie Williams.
