Florence, SC Herbert Franklin Randall, Jr., 71, of Florence, SC, died on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lost Creek, West Virginia, a son of the late Herbert Franklin and Sylvia Lucille Bonner Randall, Sr. Herbert was a long time member of the Local Union 99, and Pacific Architectural Engineers in Washington, DC. He was a member of the Washington DC National Guard from 1964 to 1970, and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda Smiley Randall of the home; four children, Herbert Franklin Randall, III, of Lancaster, NH, Brian Edward Randall, Rebecca Janet Randall and Melanie Lee Randall, all of Florence, SC; two sisters, Patricia Orelli and Edna Snyder, both of Maryland; five grandchildren, Benjamin, George, John, Madison and Raegan; two brothers-in-law, Jack Smiley and Les Smiley; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Cain Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2015, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence, SC. Interment will follow at Florence National Cemetery with military honors.
