Henry Joseph Weigand, 82, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Mr. Weigand was born in Queens, NY, a son of the late Henry Weigand and Anna Kramer Weigand. He was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple, The Gideons International, and the VFW. Henry was a US Navy veteran having served on the USS Lake Champlain during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He proudly worked for Hughes Aircraft having worked on the Apollo Space Program, and later earned his license as an Insurance Broker with Prudential Life Insurance Company.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Sellick Weigand; son, Steven (Alice) Weigand; daughter, Sandy (Shannon) Hill; sister, Lucille Gaeta; grandchildren, Alyssa (Chris) Gardner, Zachary Weigand, Nicole (Matthew) Horchak, Aaron (Heather) Weigand, Sara (Buyck) Quinton, and Leah (Nicholas) Bogaev; and great-grandchildren, Payson Weigand, Cadence Weigand, Penny Porter, Teddy Gardner, Lyla Horchak, and Roman Bogaev.

Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the Florence Baptist Temple with the family to receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
