Henry "Hank" Martin
Campbell, III
January 18, 1953 – April 2, 2026
Henry “Hank” Campbell, III, 73, of Florence, SC, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 02, 2026.
Hank was the son of the late Henry and Mary Jane Campbell. He is survived by his sister, Debi Campbell of Florence, SC; and brothers, Mike (Sandra) Campbell of Charleston, SC and Jimmy (Joni) Campbell of Pendleton, SC. Hank also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and special friends who will miss him dearly. Hank loved his 4-legged nieces and nephew, Noelle and Annie and especially Nick.
Hank worked as an IT Switchman for BellSouth for over 25 years and further went on to work on special assignments with other telephone companies. He excelled in his adept abilities in navigating complex challenges and was well respected in his trade by his co-workers.
Hank had a spirit uniquely his own. A lover of “gourmet” cooking, he found joy in creating and sharing meals with special friends and family. He cherished time by the ocean, especially searching for shark teeth while scuba diving–an adventure that perfectly reflected curiosity and love of nature. He had a special fondness for the laid-back charm of Key West and the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett. A true music enthusiast, he built an impressive collection and could often be found stepping into the role of DJ, sharing favorite songs and setting the tone for gatherings with ease. Hank also had a deep love for animals, showing kindness and compassion to every creature he encountered. Above all, Hank walked to the beat of a different drum, living life in a way that was authentically and unapologetically his own.
In keeping with Hank’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family appreciates your love and support. All who wish to honor his life are invited to donate to their local animal shelter.
