Helen Wright Clamp of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Helen was born on February 17,1937 in Columbia, South Carolina a daughter of B J Wright and Julia Mack Wright. She was married to Bobby Dean Clamp for 70 years. She graduated from Olympia High School and was an accountant with AT&T and the Farm Credit Bank in Columbia, SC. She enjoyed reading, needlepointing, crocheting and being with her grandsons in her spare time. Helen had played 1st base on a woman’s softball rec team, was president of Florence Welcome Wagon Club and a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority for 47 years and state president where she raised money for St. Jude Hospital. She was also a member of the Women’s Club in Columbia, SC.

Surviving are her daughters, Penny Clamp Allen and Belinda Clamp Burg; sons-in-law, Kevin Lynn Allen and Harold Robert Burg III “Bobby”; grandsons, Jeremy Allen and wife Breanna, Christopher Allen and wife Holli, Robert Douglas “Rob” and wife Katie, and Michael Burg; great grandchildren, Malachi Allen, Ryker Allen, Amelia Allen, Able Allen, Eli Allen, Grayson Douglas, and William Douglas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home.
