Haskell Williams, Sr., 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, surrounded by his family at McLeod Hospice House.  He was born in Florence County, a son of the late Sarah Johnson Williams and Joseph Williams, Sr.  He worked at Belk Department Store and then went to work and retired from Florence School District One.  He loved being with his family and enjoyed a good western.

He is predeceased by, in addition to his parents, a son, Daniel Williams; grandson, Khalik McCants; and two brothers, Nathaniel Williams and Joseph Williams, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gladys Tyler Williams; his children, Haskell Williams, Jr., Darrell R. Williams (Kathy), Christopher Williams, Paul T. Williams, Gwendolyn Johnson (Zemmy), Lynne Brown (Jimmy), Janet Williams and Patryck Williams, two brothers, Franklin Williams, Sr. and Robert Williams, Sr.; two sisters, Catherine Robinson and Mary Ruth Wells; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in the Cain Calcutt Funeral Home chapel.  The family will receive friends at 1209 Whittier Circle, Florence, SC 29501.
