Mr. Harry Ray Berg, passed away, September 10, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Berg was born on January 2, 1941 in Florence, SC to the late Benjamin S. and Kate Flowers Berg. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He retired from CP& L and was the owner operator of Berg's Cabinet Shop, where he was a Master Craftsman and enjoyed working in his shop.
He leaves behind to cherish is loving memory; wife, Mildred "Billie" B. Berg; daughters, Terrie Dickerson and husband Charlie and Cindy Ivey and husband Gerald; son, Ray Berg and wife Angela; grandchildren, James Ivey (Claire), Emily Ivey (Irving), and Katelin Ivey (Kenzie), Allison Berg, Benjamin Berg, and Caroline Berg; step- grandchildren, Chris Dickerson and Curtis Dickerson; great grand-children, Seth Huffman, Sterling Huffman, and Campbell Ivey; sister, Beverly Connor and husband Bubba; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and brothers, Pete Berg, Author Berg, Jimmy Berg, and Joe Berg.
A visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel followed by entombment.
