Gregory LaDon Purvis, 62, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.  He was born in Asheboro, NC, a son of the late Graham and Wilma "BJ" York Purvis.  Greg was known throughout the area as a musician, currently playing with "The Recollections Band", and he was also a piano technician.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Florence Baptist Temple.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Ann Zeigler Purvis; two step-sons, Clint (Laurie) Parks, Sr. and Austin (Christina) Parks; sister, Debbie (Rick) Purvis Thames; brother, Mike (Tammy) Purvis; four step-grandchildren, Clint Parks, Jr., Ellie Parks, Gracelynn Parks and Sam Parks; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will hold a private Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McLeod Hospice House.
