Gordon Ray Lewis, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at his home. He was born in Hartsville, SC, a son of the late Bobbie Ray Lewis and Laveta "Pete" Irby Lewis.

Gordon loved helping people and animals.  Before he got sick, you could see him walking Second Loop wearing his overalls.

Surviving are his cousins, Martha Smith Hayes of Jefferson, Lynn Irby Atkinson of Hartsville; William A. "Bill" (Kay) Lewis, Stephen F. Lewis and Tony Ray (Penny) Lewis, all of Florence, Richard Wayne "Ricky" Lewis of Bennettsville, Michael D. Smith of Hartsville, Dr. James Irby of Lake Norman, NC, and Barbara Lupton of Summerton, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; cousins, Barbara L. (Jack) Rogers and James B. Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
