Glenn William Bruce, 74, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2023.  He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Jeff and Alma Barnio Bruce.  In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by a brother, Donald Arthur Bruce.  Glenn served his country in the US Army and was retired from Merita Bakery.  He was a life-long Florence resident.  He was a Mason and a Shriner.  Glenn had a love for gambling, shooting pool, and playing cards.  He loved gardening, playing the guitar, and singing.

Surviving is his wife, Deborah Ann Diamond Bruce; daughter, Leslie Bruce Aikens (Jimmy); son, Jeff Bruce (Betsy); daughter, Jamie Sweatt (Josh); son, Zach Glenn Diamond; brother, Terry Bruce (Tammy); sister, Martha Nettles (Larry); brother, Larry Bruce; sister, Judy Thompson (Danny); grandchildren, Zachary Norton, Creighton Bruce, Zoie Bruce, Brian Kickery, Courtney Kickery (Mitchell), Will Hinchcliffe, Thomas Sweatt, and Thomas Phoenix Cox; and great-grandchildren, Ty Kickery, Peyton Kickery, Hayden Kickery, Briar Hillery, and Tanner Hillery.

A funeral service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Effingham Church of God with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church just prior to the service.
