Florence, SC Gerald Marion Yerkey, 76, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his residence. Gerald was born in Weirton, WV, a son of the late George N Yerkey and Esther M. Ruska Davidson. He is a veteran of the US Army and was a retired truck driver. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother, Richard Yerkey. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Gwendolyn Glass Yerkey; 3 children, Lori (Michael) Sullivan, Sherri Yerkey, & Richard (Tammie Smith) Yerkey all of Florence; 3 grandchildren, Sydney (Stephanie) Sullivan of Beckley, WV, Brittany Lee Sullivan and Brody Michael Sullivan both of Florence; and 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, John, and A.J. all of Beckley, WV.
