George Grice Reaves FLORENCE-George Grice Reaves, 70, of Florence, S.C., died Monday, July 30, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alcolu, S.C., a son of the late James and Bobbie Edmondson Reaves. He was a graduate of Presbyterian College and the University of South Carolina Law School. He practiced law in Florence for many years. George served his country in the United States Army, Army Reserves and the S.C. National Guard. He was a longtime member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jo Ann Parker Reaves of Florence, S.C.; one son, Paul George Reaves and his wife Natalie of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Charlotte Reaves Malone and her husband Mark of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; one brother, Lee Edmondson Reaves and his wife Bobbie of Alcolu, S.C.; four grandchildren, Benjamin Reaves Malone and Daniel Parker Malone, both of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; Samuel Parker Reaves and Sophia Annabelle Reaves, both of Greenville, S.C. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Florence National Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the church.
