A funeral service for George E Christmas will be at 10:00AM Friday August 28, 2009 in Florence National Cemetery conducted by Rev. William Justice. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday at Cain Funeral Home. Mr. Christmas, 74, died August 25, 2009, in a local nursing home. He was born, April 7, 1935 in Marion County, SC, to the late William and Mary Bunch Christmas. He was also predeceased by a son, Donald W. Christmas. He was a self employed carpet, tile and linoleum installer. He served in the US Air Force. Surviving are: son, Allen R. "Rusty" (Wendy) Christmas of Florence; daughter, Kathy Christmas Masters of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Allen R. Christmas, Jr, Hannah Rose Christmas, Daniel E. Brown, Victoria Masters and Kayla Forkasdi; sisters Carolyn Christmas Matthews and Lou Baird both of Florence and Ester Lawrence of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Faye Christmas.
