Gary Dean Hudson, Jr., 38, of Florence, S.C., died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Carolina's Hospital System in Florence. He was born in Florence, S.C., the son of Gary Dean Hudson, Sr. and Gennie Anderson Hudson. Gary graduated from West Florence High School in 1992 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1996 to 2004. He was employed by McCall Farms since 2006 as Food Safety Manager. Gary attended Florence Bible Chapel and also volunteered for Hospice. He loved his family dearly and had a kind and generous spirit. He is survived by his parents, his wife, Liza Guillermo Hudson of Florence, S.C.; one sister, Casey Matthews of Florence, S.C.; step-mother, Pam Hudson of Florence, S.C.; three step-children, Crystal Mathias, Ryan Mathias and Heather Mathias, all of Florence. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Florence National Cemetery directed by Cain Funeral Home.
