Frederick Robert Seale, 75, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in the McLeod Hospice House.  He was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, a son of the late Robert E. and Effie S. Joye Seale.  He attended Spartanburg Methodist for a year before being drafted in 1968 with the US Navy where he served on the USS Oriskany during the Vietnam War.  After his military service, he finished his BA at the University of South Carolina.  Frederick was a founding partner of Burch Oxner Seale Accounting Firm in Florence where he worked until his retirement.  He was a member of Central UMC where he had previously served as treasurer and had a seat on the finance committee.  He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved reading, especially historical books.  Frederick was very social and enjoyed spending time with his neighbors.

Frederick is preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Kenneth R. Streeter, Jr.; and a nephew, Kenneth Shawn Streeter.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Gloria Morris Seale; daughter, Lauren Seale Segarra (Mario); brother, Howard W. Seale (Debra); sister, Barbara Seale Streeter; and two nieces, Victoria Geronimakis (Michael) and Leigh Seale.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial with military honors, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM at Florence National Cemetery.
