Freddie Thomas Harrelson, 73, of Florence, SC passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023.  He was born in Dillon, SC, a son of the late Boyd and Vallie Vernell Moody Harrelson.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Boyd Allen Harrelson and James William Harrelson.  Freddie graduated from Dillon High School and then served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam.  After his military service he went to work for Union Carbide which became ESAB, from which he retired.  He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Nancy Rowley Harrelson; four daughters, Victoria Prescott (Bruce), Renea Caldwell (Jody), Angela Turner and Kimberly Mayers; a sister, Barbara Tyler; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special niece, Barbara Nell Howard (Gary) and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Florence.  Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM in the Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
