Freda Branath McEwan, 94, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  She was born in Nyack, NY, a daughter of the late Anna Jackel Branath and Herman Branath.  She is also predeceased by two sisters and one brother.  She worked in the school system while her children were in school.  Freda moved to South Carolina with her husband in June of 1986 from New York.  She loved taking care of her home and her family.

Freda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Wesley N. McEwan; two daughters, Pamela Tasker (Michael) and Heather Tropauer (Robert); son, Michael McEwan (Lori); six grandchildren, Jaime Tropauer, Nicole Tropauer, Shelby T. Dicapua (Nicholas), Madden McEwan, Mayci McEwan and Lynkon McEwan; and a brother, Herman Branath (Marilyn).

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the funeral home.
