A funeral service for Frank K. Schaefer, Jr. will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 20, 2008, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Father Richard B. Archer. Entombement will be at 2:30 PM Saturday at Magnolia Gardens Mausoleum, Charleston The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Friday, at the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to Cain Funeral Home, 512 Second Loop Rd. Florence, SC 29505 to help with expenses. Mr. Schaefer, 65, died Monday, December 15, 2008, in McLeod Hospice House after a long illness. He was born January 14, 1943, in Charleston, SC. He was predeceased by his mother, Beaulah B. Schaefer and his aunt, Rosa L. Burns. Frank served in the Merchant Marines and retired from Koch Industries of Wichita, KS. He was a member of St Luke and Paul Cathedral Episcopal Church, Charleston. Surviving are: son, Frank Vincenzo Schaefer and daughter, Mary Louise-Belle Schaefer both of Florence, SC.
