Frank Hanton Morris, III, 76, of Florence, S.C., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Born March 17, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Frank Hanton Morris Jr. and Gladys Fern Bussell. Mr. Morris served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a SP4. Mr. Morris retired from Sonoco Products Company after 33 years of service. He enjoyed post retirement employment at Uniforms By John in Florence over the last 10 years. His greatest enjoyment in life was his family, grandchildren, family gatherings, and cowboy/western movies. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Judy Grose Morris of Florence, S.C.; two sons, Matthew Hanton Morris (MaryAnn) of Florence, S.C.; Christopher Cebert Morris (Wendy) of Florence, S.C.; one brother, Allan Morris of St. Peters, Missouri; three grandchildren, Andrew Morris, Jules Frock-Morris and Katelyn Morris. A funeral service will be held at Cain Funeral Home on Friday April 11 at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at the Florence National Cemetery with full military honors, directed by Cain Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Health Foundation.
