Francine Moody Hayes passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, at McLeod Health Dillon. Born on January 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Gertrude Moody. Francine was a 1965 graduate of Lake View High School. She furthered her education at Florence Darlington Technical College and Coker College, finishing with her master’s in social work from the University of South Carolina. She served the Pee Dee region as a licensed social worker for 40 years. Francine also served for 20 years in the South Carolina National Guard and retired as Staff Sergeant.

Francine is survived by her son, Todd Hayes (Jaime) of Dillon; grandchildren, Ella and Griffin Hayes of Dillon; nieces, Lynn Foxworth of Conway, Johnna Shirley of Anderson, Charlene Frye of Myrtle Beach, and Trudy Gregorie Beatty of Ashburn, VA.

In addition to her parents, Francine was predeceased by her brother, Curtis Moody, Jr, and his wife, Catherine; and her sister, Nell Herring and her husband, John.
