Frances Tallon Temple, peacefully departed this world on February 22, 2025. Born in the charming town of Lynchburg, South Carolina, she was the cherished daughter of John Wyatt and Myrtle Beasley Tallon. Frances received her education in Lynchburg schools before furthering her studies at the Carolina College of Commerce.

Frances was predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Harry Ray Temple, her devoted parents, as well as her dear brother, John Wyatt Tallon, Jr. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Tallon Ray Temple, his wife, Meg, and her two adoring grandsons, John Wyatt and Stirling Temple. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Tallon, and his loving wife, Gay, of Lamar, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In her earlier years, Frances was a woman of many passions. She found joy in playing golf, diving into spirited card games, and losing herself in the pages of a captivating book. Her heart thrived on entertaining and nurturing connections with family and friends, where laughter and camaraderie flowed freely. In her later years, she cherished her time at the lake, where she built lasting memories with friends and found pride and joy in watching her grandsons perform at Florence Little Theatre.

The family will welcome guests at the home of Tallon and Meg, 1161 Sherwood Drive, Florence, on Thursday, February 27, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. Friends and family are also invited to a future celebration of life at Frances's beloved lake home. A private burial will be held at a later date for family members.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Temple family.

In honor of her generous spirit, memorial contributions may be made to the CARE House of the Pee Dee at 1920 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29501, where she was a longtime supporter, or to a charity of your choice that reflects the love and kindness she embodied throughout her life. Frances will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain a source of joy for all who knew her.
