Frances Louise Dingle Hartley, 85, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Erna Johnson Dingle and James Wesley Dingle, Sr. She is also predeceased by her husband, Robert Keith Hartley; a brother, James W. Dingle, Jr. and a sister, Jean D. Martin. Frances was a graduate of Florence High School where she lettered in basketball. She was formerly employed by CP&L until the business relocated and then she worked as a bookkeeper. She was a charter member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. She loved to crochet and really loved being around other people. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Teddy) Horne of Florence; her son, Barron Kevin (Dawn) Hartley of Knightdale, NC; grandchildren, Elyse Horne of Florence and Bryan Hartley of Knightdale, NC; great-grandchild, Sophia Hartley of Knightdale, NC; her sister, Anita (C.V.) Flowers of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home.
