Frances Port Garrison, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.  She was born in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Port, Sr. and Georgia Willow Harrelson Port.  She is also predeceased by her sister, Sarah Graham.

Frances was retired from SCE&G where she worked as an executive secretary.  She was a graduate of Winyah High School where she was a majorette.  She traveled all over with the band doing parades and performing.  She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading.

Surviving is her son, Mark K. Garrison (Rachel); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one on the way; a brother, TJ Port (Jane); and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
