Eugene Hyman, 63, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Mr. Hyman was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Billy Ray Hyman and Ruby Faye Tanner Hyman.  He graduated from South Florence High School and received his certificate for Electronics and Computers from Florence Darlington Technical College.  Eugene loved working on electronics and science fiction.  He was formerly a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a current member of First Baptist Church of Florence, where he served as videographer.  He loved his Lord and Savior, and loved talking with people about Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; uncles, Wayne McGee, Ervin F. Tanner, and Lonnie P. Tanner; and aunts, Elsie Mae Harrell Tanner and Lila Mae Harrell Tanner.

Surviving are his uncle, Cecil W. Tanner; aunt, Mary T. McGee; and a number of cousins and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, 512 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505 to assist the family with arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
