A funeral service for Esther Jo Hayes Lynch, wife of the late Morgan Lynch, will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday February 14, 2010 in Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Truluck. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Saturday February 13, 2010 at Cain Funeral Home. Mrs. Lynch, 71, died February 11, 2010, peacefully at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 8, 1938, in Scranton, SC, to Ruth Timmons Hayes and the late Elston Hayes. She was preceded in death by her father, and brothers, Timmy and Buddy Hayes. Mrs. Esther was a member of Bethsaida United Methodist Church, a long standing member of the Blue Grass Association, and was known as the candy lady. She was employeed by GE Corporation, and later retired from McLeod's Hospital 4 East. She also served as a volunteer for Mcleod's Hospice. Surviving in addition to her mother are: daughter, Sherrill (Ricky) Poston of Pamplico; son, Jerry (Nancy) Lynch of Coward; grandson, Brent Poston of Pamplico; sister, Betty Gore of Quinby; sister-in-laws, Clara Hayes of Las Vegas, NV, Jean Breaden of Moncks Corner, and Hazel Lynch of Scranton; special cousin, Martha; and several nieces and nephews.
