Ernie Mitchell Jackson, 70, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Mr. Jackson was born in Mullins, SC a son of the late James Olan Jackson and Elinor Housand Jackson.  He loved westerns, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends, and had retired from Smurfit-Stone Container after 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Joyce J. Starnes.

Surviving are his brother, Jack (Evelyn) Jackson; sister, Jane Dawkins, and nephew, Sandy Starnes.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
