A visitation for Mr. Ernest Eugene Gardner, Jr., husband of Barbara Jean Tobis Gardner, will be Wednesday December 10 from 6:00-8:00PM at Cain Funeral Home. Mr. Gardner, Jr., 80, died Sunday, December 7, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born June 22, 1928, in Eden, NC, to the late Ernest Eugene and Buelah Hewitt Gardner, Sr. He was also predeceased by a sister, Lillian Lambert. He lived most of his adult life in Florence, and was a retired farmer. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: sons, Eric Gardner and Barry Gardner both of Florence; and a sister, Patty Cox of Florence.
